Playing
Does the host really not know who did it?
Correct. The culprit is chosen when the party starts and only that person’s phone is told. There is no host screen that shows the answer, and the host’s device is never sent it.
How many people do we need?
Every title states a range. Last Run runs from four to twenty. It is written once and checked at every headcount in that range, so six people get a mystery that resolves to one answer and so do twenty.
What happens if someone cancels?
Mark them absent. The evidence they were carrying moves to people who turned up and the mystery still resolves. You do not recut anything.
Do we have to act, or dress up?
No. Every character comes with a costume suggestion and you are free to ignore it. Booklets tell you what you know and what you want, and there is nothing to memorise.
Can we play it more than once?
Yes, and it is a different game. The culprit is picked again each session and the evidence changes with it.
What if nobody solves it?
That is a real ending and it happens. The reveal lands the same way either way.
How long does it take?
About two and a half hours for a full-sized party, less with a smaller group. The host controls the pace, so it stretches around dinner.
Buying
What is the difference between digital and the box?
The game is identical. Digital is instant and you print what you want at home. The box is the VHS case with everything printed and cut for you, and it includes the digital edition.
Do I need the box to use the app?
No. The app comes with both editions.
Does everyone at the party need to buy it?
No. One purchase covers your whole table. Guests join with a link and never pay anything or make an account.
Do guests need to install anything?
No. It runs in whatever browser is already on their phone.
Can I buy it as a gift?
Yes. Buy either edition and hand over the code inside, or have it sent on a date you choose.
Can I use it at a commercial event?
Not under a normal purchase. Get in touch and we will sort out a licence.
