Terms of Sale

Plain terms for buying and playing a Back Wall Games game.

What you are buying

A licence to play the game, as many times as you like, at private gatherings. You own the physical box if you bought one. You do not own the story, the artwork or the software.

What you may do

• Play it as often as you want, with different people each time
• Print the materials for your own parties
• Lend or give away a physical box, and the code inside it
• Photograph your night and post it anywhere you like

What you may not do

• Charge admission, sell tickets, or run it as a commercial event without a licence
• Copy or share the PDFs or character materials outside your own party
• Republish the writing or artwork

Commercial licences exist and are not expensive. Ask at hello@backwallgames.com.

Accounts

Hosts need an account to keep a library. Guests never do. You are responsible for what happens under your account, so use a real password.

The app

We will keep the companion app running for any game you have bought. If we ever cannot, we will give you everything needed to run that game without it, including the solution, with at least 90 days notice.

Refunds

Covered in full on the refund policy page, which forms part of these terms.

Liability

These are party games. We are responsible for delivering what you paid for and for fixing it when we do not. We are not responsible for how your evening went.

Changes

If we change these terms, the version you agreed to at purchase is the one that governs your purchase. We will not apply new terms retroactively.
